Pros

Interesting mission and product potential. A talented and passionate team.

Cons

The CEO's management style is nothing short of bullying. He frequently belittles employees in meetings, disregards their ideas, and fosters a culture of fear rather than innovation. Constructive feedback is met with defensiveness and hostility, making it clear that only his opinion matters. This behaviour has created a toxic work environment where talented individuals are undervalued and disrespected. Moreover, the CEO´s actions stifle creativity and prevent the company from scaling. He insists on being involved in every decision, no matter how minor, which slows down processes and leads to inefficiency. There is no trust in the expertise of the team, and initiatives that require autonomy and swift execution are often dead on arrival. It's evident that as long as Carlos Ferri remains in charge, Shipeezi will struggle to grow and achieve its full potential. His leadership style is incompatible with the collaborative, innovative environment needed to thrive in today's competitive market. Until there is a change in leadership, I cannot recommend Shipeezi as a place to work for those looking to grow professionally and make a meaningful impact.

Pros

The company operates in a promising industry with opportunities to work on real-world logistics challenges

Cons

My time at Shipeezi was marked by a number of serious concerns that unfortunately overshadowed any positive aspects of the role. The company suffers from a deeply flawed leadership culture that not only stifles innovation but also fosters an environment of fear, favoritism, and exclusion. The founder maintains an extremely centralized decision-making structure, where all authority is held tightly in the hands of founder. Despite lacking technical expertise, he is involved in every decision, while disregarding input from experienced team members. Employees are discouraged from speaking openly, and those who do often face hostility or outbursts in front of the team. This has created a work culture where questioning or suggesting improvements is risky, and where real collaboration is virtually nonexistent. A particularly troubling aspect of the workplace dynamic is the clear favoritism shown toward a select group of employees who share the founder’s native language and cultural background. These individuals are granted undue influence and often manipulate decisions to suit their own agendas. This creates a one-sided, exclusionary environment where others are left marginalized, regardless of merit or contribution. Even more concerning are the unethical termination practices. Employees have been abruptly dismissed, sometimes in the middle of the night without prior warning or due compensation. In many instances, promised notice period payments are withheld, and all communication channels (WhatsApp, email, phone, LinkedIn) are immediately cut off. Attempts to follow up or seek clarification are ignored, leaving former employees without closure or the pay they are rightfully owed. Shipeezi has the potential to be a strong player in the logistics tech space, but under its current leadership, that potential remains unrealized. The culture does not support growth, diversity of thought, or mutual respect, all of which are critical for sustainable success. Until there is a meaningful shift in leadership style and organizational values, I cannot in good conscience recommend Shipeezi to professionals seeking a healthy, inclusive, and empowering work environment.

Great multicultural team to work, inclusive company culture, amazing growth opportunities and always the leadership is always seeking new challenges / innovations!

Cons

Being a start-up, sometimes it's difficult to find the balance between adjusting processes or creating new ones from scratch, but the team is very supportive!
