Pros
There is flexibility and mobility. Executives genuinely care about the well-being of the employees. Employees care about the health of the company. From an overall perspective, there is a sense of good intentions and good efforts. Most people are knowledgeable and experienced furniture professionals. Even those with less experience seem enthusiastic to learn and grow.
Cons
With the numerous restructures and personnel changes in the past year, there is a looming sense of uncertainty - which has greatly affected morale. Some stalwarts of the company left or were let go. There wasn't an explanation as to why. There wasn't a plan to fill the gap left. A major restructure took place, but there wasn't really an effective new structure that arose. Moreover, there was no cohesive message about the overall plan and goal. There was no follow-up to major shifts. There is also a sense of secrecy. No one, other than the leadership team and upper management, seems to be included in any talks or discussions. Because of this, there is a perceived lack of direction, or even lack of attention. People thus form their own conclusions, which just spreads more gossip and uncertainty. Good employees understandably take their skill set elsewhere.
