Pros

Throughout college, I focused on my education which created a problem for me when I entered the workforce. Companies that hired entry level workers were either disastrous for me or didn't pay me nearly enough. At signing stream, I gained valuable skills that I was able to bring to my next employer and the pay was decent as well. If you want to gain experience as an entry level worker with a company that provides you with flexibility, look no further than this company. I am no longer employed here because I found an opportunity in a field that I was always looking to get into in the end. If it wasn't for the opportunity, I would have gladly continued to work for Signing Stream.

Cons

There isn't negative I could say about working here. They provide plenty of constructive criticism which I took as a learning experience and improved from it.

Pros

The few and far in between assignments.

Cons

Staff is very nice when they ask for notarial services. Once assignment is accepted, the staff has a holier than thou, condescending attitude - especially accounting. Payment is issued 45 to 60 days after a signing has been completed. Once they receive payment, it takes a few days to process and mail the notaries' checks. Signing Stream pays ~ $30 to $55 to notaries while they charge their clients more than $100. Signing Stream places TONS of restrictions and rules that specify penalties will be applied and they look for anything in which they can "contractually" nickel and dime the notary - such as $5 penalty for status update, $10 penalty for fax back deduction, $25 notary error etc. Here is a verbatim quote off an assignment: *Signing errors and omissions will result in fee deductions of at least $25. Your fee is for a full loan signing with a fax or scan/email copy of ALL docs prior to shipping. Failure to fax or scan/email us docs prior to shipping will result in a $10 fee deduction. *Partial signings (less than 40 pages) will result in an adjustment of your notary fee after your assignment is completed if you received a full fee in error.
