Pros
Decent building and location central.
Cons
Hired on the basis of helping vulnerable people. The reality is this is a holiday camp that 100% enables addicts and discourages them to learn, develop, and grow into individuals who can look after themselves and contribute to society.
Eight individuals reside here and the police are on site at least twice a week on account of their ill impact on the local community.
7 of the 8 spend every day full of drink and drugs, boasting of how much money they get in benefits and/or how they have never worked a day in their lives.
Simon Community do nothing to prepare these people for getting their own housing. A resident complained to me they had never been shown how to organise and to pay for energy. These people don’t have the capacity to clean their own rooms or wash a plate after staff have cooked for them. The staff have to clean up after them so ‘George’ the head enabler won’t complain.
The biggest waste of North Lanarkshire Councils funds by some distance.
