Bullying is a daily part of life at Skipton now. Staff hired on flexible/remote contracts are being bullied into giving up these rights and it is obvious there will be a fire and rehire exercise taking place against anybody who resists before the law changes next year to protect against this. Return to office isn't even in effect yet but team leaders and managers are bullying staff into increasing their time in the office already and trying to get staff on remote contracts or compressed or reduced hours to give up their contractual rights with some vague threat of consequences if they refuse. Upcoming return to office and recent redundancies have drawn all the attention away from other things, allowing several reductions in benefits and policy changes that negatively impact employees to slip under the radar. Pay is pretty bad for the industry and staff at risk of redundancy are getting pushed into jobs with similar duties but a lower pay band. The office is difficult to travel to and not enough parking.
