Pros
I learned most of what I know about IT Support from my time at Skynet. The wide breadth of technologies and job sectors that were supported contributed to this greatly, and for that I will always be thankful.
Cons
There was no opportunity for moving up. Getting a raise was like pulling teeth, and you had to have a manifestos-worth of reasons for the owner to even consider it. This included cost of living or inflation increases. The owner was also not exactly politically correct or spoke appropriately at times, trying to create a "bros" vibe. The pay was also extremely low compared to other roles. This is something I've seen at numerous MSPs so it isn't specific to Skynet. Finally, it felt impossible to keep up with the day-to-day tickets without working after hours. The owner specifically said several times that he doesn't want his employees to work after hours, which I do believe he truly meant, but they way the company is setup and the lower number of employees made that fairly difficult to impossible.
