Pros
I have great co workers who are passionate about the services we provide and are generally interested in collaborating on all projects.
Cons
Several company practices are exploitative. Replacing “librarian” positions with paraprofessional positions which are then staffed by individuals with MLIS degrees at lower rate of pay and then expecting them to do “librarian” work. Same with the EDI dept “consulting” frontline staff without fair compensation for the extra work while limiting the EDI dept to two people. opportunities for career development are scarce as is and continue to dwindle.
