Pros

Everyone gets hired. Also, if you are struggling with weight issues and can't afford a gym, the fact that you are walking about all day and earning no money should help you drop a few.

Cons

Horrible product to sell. No one takes you seriously. ...Customers or interviewees. It's actually so laughable that this company exists. About one mile away from solar city's headquarters, and 30 miles from Sungevity, SunRun, Viviant. Also, the people working at the company don't seem to buy into the product either. They are all poorly dressed, fake and in some awful multi level marketing pyramid scheme so they have to fake it till they make it. Run as fast as you can before you lose your soul

Solar Giants Response

Hey folks, we expect this review to be removed for it's many erroneous statements, but if you're reading this, here is what you need to know: "everyone gets hired." False. We've hired about 4 people in the past 200 resumes we have received. We are actually very picky. "Horrible product"- this is an opinion statement and everyone's entitled to one, but we have to argue this since we sell solar panels, which save people money as well as help the environment. "The people don't seem to buy into the product." - False. We are SO into it and fully believe solar is changing the world for the better. "multi level marketing pyramid scheme" - Nope. We are a traditional business which pays employees a traditional W2 paycheck. We do not ask them to recruit friends for our business, we do not require any type of buy-in or payment to join our company. This is the most frustrating part of the review because it makes no sense how anyone could think that who has actually worked with us. We believe this review was left by an employee who was let go for several reasons, and who had the intention to damage our company name.

Pros

The priority is doing what's best for the customer and the environment. We offer customers the lowest rate in solar with the best equipment and the highest referral amount. It is great to be able to make a difference while having a great career. Also, the team is really tight and a lack of respect for coworkers isn't tolerated. Clear standards for upward mobility.

Cons

Not having a glassdoor presence cost me a sale. In several years, there were no reviews and one bad employee writing a pair of bad reviews even though he got fired for his terrible behavior, swayed a customer.

Pros

Solar is an excellent alternative to current electrical providers, and Solar Giants produces competitive products and prices. The office is comprised of a good group of dedicated workers that share advice and experiences with each other. Overall great sales experience and given a position to communicate an interesting and effective product to people.

Cons

The bad news is the product's competitive edge is based on the company's lack of investment in their employees. As a representative you are responsible for generating sales from scratch by going door to door (which may or may not be illegal without a permit), and only getting paid when a sale goes through (100% commission). This way the company has no problem hiring as many people as possible because the worst case scenario is that it won't cost them anything. What you are is free marketing for a multi-level marketing company. There is opportunity here, but more cases than not, you'll never see it. The CEO and some members coax you into believing the unlimited growth opportunity to get you to stick around longer because it's in their best interest and might put extra money in their pocket. If you do stick it out, you'll most likely receive a salary between $30-40k / annual, don't let them highball you into believing anything else.
