This is a horrible place to work. I was paid $3.15 per hour for the 15,000 hours I worked and traveled at this company over three years. No promotions ever came to me. They would not clock my overtime. Do not be fooled by this company's window dressing. It is racist to the core. Its law firms are racist to the core. Its shareholders are racist to the core. Its largest mutual fund holders are racist to the core. Nothing will ever change at this company. Georgia is like living in Jan Smuts' South Africa in 1925. The entire company operates like a pig farm from 1832. You have no civil rights as a human being in the state of Georgia. I finally had to cut bait and saved money and just moved back to NYC to start a family. They told me to my face that Jesus Christ was Satan. They told me to my face that it was wrong to love my mother. They told me to my face that I did not know how a large corporation works. Southern Company and its executives have no fear of prosecution whatsoever. Their corporate logo was the same symbols used by Neo-Nazis in Rhodesia and South Africa in the twentieth century.

This is a horrible place to work. The men in this company do abominable things to the women who work there. The female executives are racists! I was a witness to it. This company treated me like a second class citizen from day one. Everyday for three years this racist company's executives and management told me I could not speak English. They kept telling me to my face that I could not speak, read or write English. They are categorically racist. I came from New York City and they promised me promotions, high bonuses and also would allow me to go to university after work. I started there and no one would talk to me. No one would even show me where the washroom was. I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP. No one would talk to me at meetings. Many of the employees are hired through nepotism. They advised in a recommendation to Harvard University IN WRITING I was the worst employee they had ever hired in the finance division. I made a fortune for them. Anyone in America would look at the net income numbers and would be incredulous. IT WAS A COMPLETE LIE. They blacklisted me from the energy industry and I could never find work in energy again. They called personnel agencies in NYC and told them I was niggardly in my work habits. They collude with other energy companies and will go out of their way to destroy your career. One day they just took away my pension. No explanation. There was no debate. For two and a half years, they kept making fun of my wife. They kept making fun of her for working and having a career. Then they said that my wife was not real. Southern Company is the basis of every criticism I have ever made against capitalism.
