Pros

Over a multi-year period, I was able to advance my skills and get promoted into new roles 4 different times. The final promotion came as I left the company to pursue my next career opportunity, which I had only become prepared for through my growth at Sovos. The "educate and advance from within" philosophy is supported and promoted throughout the culture with individual development, team training, leadership skills programs, and mentoring. Leadership works diligently at providing an environment of clear communication with many efforts to keep the rapidly growing population up to date on changes as they occur. They also have a clear vision of their growth trajectory and make great progress in the areas of compliance and reporting. The HR team is also to be recognized for their efforts to create and support a vibrant and fun culture. Monthly events, employee recognition, fun activities, and a dedication to professional growth have created a place that is great to work.

Cons

Sovos is a fast growth company that continues to evolve as it grows. This means it is also a rapidly changing environment. If you're the kind of person who embraces change, rises to the challenge, can apply creativity to solve problems, and love to work with other people of the same mindset... you'll love it. ... if you're looking for a boring, repetitive, stagnant, "safe", place to work where nothing ever changes... keep looking elsewhere.

Being Remote and standard benefits

Cons

Sales leadership is horrendous. New people are brought in not trained, aggressive targets (that have never been hit) usually designed to be the escape goats to protect the old guard. Long tenured sales protects the existing power structures. When results slip, they blame newer reps. New hires don’t hit, quotas unrealistic, weak implementation. Nightmare of a company, the worst I have ever worked at.
