Pros

There are no pros in a toxic filled environment fueled on favoritism and untrained employees.

Cons

Management is incompetent, and most haven’t had management positions any where else- it shows. Yes Directors and House Coordinators are equally corrupt and terrible so they work together to cover each others backs. Everyone’s got dirt on each other so no one is ever held accountable, and if you try to interfere they’ll get rid of you. HR doesn’t investigate or take any of the complaints seriously, even when repeat offenders abuse their power positions repeatedly. They will have massive OT and burn you out, but will keep the job short staff. There’s no cameras so ppl can do whatever they want include watch their favorite shows on the phone, and sleep. The pay is trash, but they expect you to administer wound care as if you are a registered nurse. Most of the homes don’t even have a nurse that is on site inside the homes. They are penny pinchers for everything like work hours, and even the Clients money. They don’t truly care about the clients, or the employees. Everyone breaks the rules but they’ll only enforce the rules upon the ppl hey don’t like.

We are aware that feedback such as this can emerge from time to time, and while we take all concerns seriously, the characterization presented does not reflect the organization we strive to lead each day. Spectrum for Living is committed to fostering a supportive, respectful, and accountable work environment for all employees, while ensuring the highest standards of care and dignity for the individuals we support. This commitment is operational, and it is reinforced through our policies, training, supervision, and oversight. We recognize that the work we do is both demanding and deeply important, and we rely on a strong, dedicated workforce across all levels of the organization. When concerns are raised, they are reviewed in accordance with established protocols, and appropriate action is taken when warranted. It is also important to acknowledge that broad and generalized statements, particularly those suggesting systemic misconduct or lack of care, are misleading and often not reflective of the reality across the organization. We have many committed staff members and leaders who go above and beyond each day to support individuals with complex needs, often under challenging conditions. That said, we do not dismiss concerns. On the contrary, we actively encourage employees to raise issues through appropriate channels, including Human Resources and leadership, so that they can be addressed constructively. We continue to invest in training, supervision, staffing models, and quality assurance systems to strengthen both employee experience and service delivery.
