The friends you will make.
Cons
Where to start.........everyones opinion is valid and I strongly belive that everyone should speak up and say what bothering them, first of I want to say is I have no hard feeling towards speeders I met alot of very unique and amazing people whilie working there, some people who will most likely become life long friends of mine so that is something I will always be grateful for. I decided to go thru my probation period with a diffrent comany to compare what life is like working somewhere else, before writing this review. People at the company may say its just because i am mad and i can surley say it is not. So here it goes...........speeders in my opinions is customer service on steroids, you will incounter lots of people on the daily basis lots of them who are very happy to try it out but become very sour fast, shift lead work very hard for little money, and most of the time problems could be solved but there is no real structure on how to deal with these angery customers there is also no traing given out to employess on how to deal with these problems, at my new company before I even stepped foot on the floor they made us take a 3 day course to make sure we where all trained and ready to go, and very helpful with asking questions to make sure we where ready, safety seems to be the motive that the company would like to go in, but they put no effort into trying to fix it, they rather punish when a slip up happens rather then sitting you down and discussing improvements or having proper steps in place and how to fix the problem and keeping people safe, they are really focused now on cleaning the facility but forgets to address the most important parts, such as knowing there is black mold on fire hoses, the eye wash machine no one knows about it, and it is also very dirty and unsafe to use, if I could post photos here I would, there is also no proper training on things such as fires and things of that nature, they also straight do not care about about safety regulations such as cutting concrete with no water or proper air flow in the building and keeping employess in building for that, they wait for something to happen such as lossing a finger then they take action when they know there could be a big issue, they are always yelling at kart techs to not walk behind the track whilie karts are whizzing by at 60km per hour but the owner feels like he does not have to follow these rules, witch is a horrible example for the company. Pay is horrible for the amount of work you have to do, and good luck asking for a raise and when you do it's usually only 50 cents, in my opinion that is a slap in the face, when you already start at a miserable 15$, for example I have no experience at all at my new job, and I have to do 50 percent less work and they started me at 18$ benefits is very poor on general coverage, for example many companies now of days give out discounts to local gyms and Wicked in store deals to promote you to spread the word about the business, the company has all of that and free lunch on top. speeders used to have a very cool perk of receiving free races every pay check, they have now taken that away, and when asked why that was they simply responded with because ''we are growing as a comany, and it's too hard and takes us to long to put the races on the accounts." That is very pathetic and shows they really do not care to take they time to treat us well, there are ways of giving the free races and tracking them but they lazy bones up at the top really cheap out on you and take your hard working time and rather investing it into you they invest it into, the company but again they shop is alway complaining about not having the right parts when they need them, the directer of the company is also pretty much at the location but if you asked her if she knew most of the employees names I bet she would not be able to name alot of them. only the so called important ones are known to the company thru a daily report that is filled out by the shift leads. And when they have honest opinion they will tell them they are just ranting and it's not acceptable, managers are couped up and cozy and put in small amount of effort to help, at my new job we have 10 managers and they are always on the floor helping traing and assisting, whilie shift leads are assisting with other tasks, I have nothing against these people once again they are all amazing people but there approach in my opinions is out of wack, the manger at the time of me working, seemed like she tried but had a hard time changing things due to ownership of the company, the ownership is better then back in the day 100 percent but the new owners seems like he does not know what he is doing, or simply only cares about making money, witch brings me on to the next part Staff are extremely over worked , and they have little error for mistakes such as cramming the schedule back to back so if someone actually crashes or they want to just simply enjoy them self they will be rushed witch creates alot of unhappy employees and customers both turning very sour fast, one crash can lead to a back up to almost 30 minutes or more sometimes, and because they are too focused on cramming the schedule to make the company money it becomes very stressful trying to keep customers satisfied, during my time there I saw 3 shift leads leave or get fired and a total of almost 20 employees get fired, for all sort of things that could of been prevented, that was over the span of under a year, saying that i was with them for over just 2 years because I stayed quite and under the radar where i work the adverage employee has been with the company for 5 years plus and everyone is super helpful and outgaoing and they wanna be there, the last thing I would like to say is. Speeders is a very political place to work, you don't only have to win over the heart of management you will have keep a good side with the employes dont make the wrong people mad and you can be fired very fast. Because they are not open to hearing your side. I saw a few very hard working employess and shift lead be absolutely tossed around rather then being rewarded, I cannot express my gratitude for being an employee with speeders but I just could not take it anymore. And I am very happy I have left, I am proud of the expansion of speeders but I really do wish you guys the best of luck.
