Pros

I genuinely liked 95% of the people there. No micromanaging. Fun environment. Occasionally tried to give employees cool perks.

Cons

The business model changed completely 3 times in the past year. After each change there was substantial layoffs. So the company went from around 50 + employees to around 15 in the past year. Trying to disrupt the event industry but have not figured out how to do anything disruptive. So they change everything completely, pour a ton of time and money into it immediately and when it craps the bed 2 weeks in they lay everyone off. Has happened exactly like that 3 times in the past year. I' d be beyond shocked if SpinGo exists in 6 months. As far as layoffs go. No severance. The owner stands up and says "We will be paying you through today." Like we needed to stand up and applaud him paying us for the time we worked. How kind of him.

Pros

SpinGo is a great company to work for. I have never worked anywhere, where I feel excited coming to work EVERYDAY. The opportunities available to me to learn and grow while working here have been amazing. This is a company where what I do matters, my opinion is relevant and respected, and I am responsible for change just as much as anyone else. Being able to be an integral part in the forming of a company has helped me grow both professionally and personally. Not only has the experience been one of a kind, I am lucky to work with an incredibly talented team who gives 110%. Working somewhere where the entire team cares, allows us to take responsibility for our success, and motivates us that much more to achieve that success. On top of the personal success that can be achieved here, management is supportive. There is no micro-managing, and I am trusted to get my job done the best way I see fit. If that wasn't enough, the culture is great! SpinGo's leadership team makes a point to schedule fun activities each month, that allows us all to get to know each other and have fun together.

Cons

Working for a startup is hard, and can be stressful. But being a part of a team that is invested, and having management that cares, makes the job much easier.

Pros

Arguably better than being unemployed.

Cons

Very dystopian and robotic workplace.
