Strong benefits package overshadowed by poor leadership and culture - Customer Success Manager (CSM) SpotOn Employee Review

Pros

Robust benefits package that covers all the essentials: health, dental, vision, and a 401(k). They also offer an unlimited PTO policy, which is a great perk depending on how you prefer to manage your work-life balance.

Cons

Where do I begin? The product itself is unreliable and faulty, which means you are constantly dealing with angry customers. When you combine an unstable product with inept leadership, it's easy to see why the company struggles with profitability. There is zero culture here (at least in my department), and managers provide a severe lack of training. New employees are routinely thrown into situations they aren't prepared for, yet leadership wastes no time lambasting you when things go wrong. Because of this, morale is incredibly low and turnover is very high. Their internal processes are deeply flawed, and leadership has no intention of fixing them. It is simply too much work and unnecessary stress for the pay. I would stay far away from this company.

Pros

Strong core benefits package, including solid medical, dental, vision, and a 401k. The hybrid work schedule offers excellent day-to-day flexibility and work-life balance.

Cons

Lack of Training & Onboarding: There is no structured training program in place. New hires are thrown into a highly chaotic environment and left to navigate it entirely on their own. Punitive Leadership Culture: The management style is unsupportive and quick to blame. Leadership relies on public reprimands and harsh criticism rather than providing constructive guidance or fostering a positive team culture. Product & Process Deficiencies: The core product is riddled with persistent technical and operational issues, which heavily complicates daily workflows. Managers operate within a broken system that they seem unable to fix. High Turnover: Due to burnout and systemic instability, there is exceptionally high turnover specifically among Customer Success Partners (CSPs) and management, leaving the environment with very little culture or cohesion. The "Unlimited PTO" Caveat: While unlimited time off is offered, the lack of clear boundaries and the stressful culture make it difficult to actually utilize effectively.
