Pros

The company will hire entry-level journalists. Most of the editors and reporters really care about journalism. There is a sense of camaraderie among reporters.

Cons

Cost-cutting and inane corporate agendas, such as Gannett’s “Picasso” strategy, have ruined this place. There is zero job security, and the pay and benefits aren't great.

Pros

The technology and ways you can help your clients are cutting edge and so much more effective than the competitors. The pay is extremely competitive even with our nearby metro.

Cons

Just like any high end sales job the stress and expectations can be high, however the environment fosters good banter and support.

It is true that the offerings we have for our sales team to match to customer needs are cutting edge. We strive hard to ensure that we can position ourselves with solutions that work for our customers and have the philosophy that we are world class at what we do.

Pros

Coworkers are supportive, good people. Glad to still have an office.

Cons

How management feels is unpredictable. Gannett corporate is the real monster.
