Toxic culture with micromanagement and no work-life balance - Consultant Storm3 Employee Review

Pros

Incentives were good, casual environment, decent growth trajectory and young environment (kind of a con though, everyone too playful with each other)

Cons

Everyone that works together just goes home and hang's out with one another there is no work life balance. Managers micromanage you and pick favorites. They only help the "best workers" improve and then force the rest to quit. Managers also make comments on appearance and get too involved in personal life. They make you feel like you can't take a day off and if you do take one off they ask what you're doing and want to know everything. Most of the people there have been with the company since it started and don't understand how a business should be run because they haven't experienced anything else and think they are better than everyone. I am not the only person that feels this way, people are afraid to speak up because there's no proper HR team.

Pros

Great environment to learn from talented people. Amazing experience! Young people your age & a positive leadership team pushing you to learn more at all points in your career.

Cons

Specializing is important & going in the role with a certain niche would speed up billing.

Pros

Moved to NYC for this job and starting in S3 helped a lot. I’ve made some of my closest friends here which made settling into a new city way easier. Commission is uncapped from day one so if you put the work in you actually see the rewards. Training is solid, you learn the basics of the job, get up to speed on the tech market you’re in as an academy, then get upskilled. There isn’t one right way to do recruitment, so you kind of find your own style and what works for you over time

Cons

It’s a fast paced sales role that can be tough, so it’s definitely not for everyone - I've worked additional hours with west coast clients but worth it for commission
