Pros
I am grateful to have met some lovely people as my co-workers, and also lovely customers who appreciate the customer service we provide. I also really love the product and have no problems selling it and advocating the brand and products.
Cons
No opportunity for advancement. Individual budgets set against co-workers to fight for hours. Rosters always late and change frequently without warning or advisement. No help over Christmas meaning existing staff had to regularly work 9-12hr shifts back to back. Some of these days with only 1/2 hr break. No control over amount of stock receiving into store over busy periods (eg Christmas Eve received 32 cartons and also expected to make budget of $12K) No serious performance management for staff who aren't doing the right thing (policy) or sharing the work load (stock). Have witnessed certain staff walk away every time returns / refunds come into store so someone else has to cop the loss against their target for the day. Uniform takes forever to arrive, or never enough in stock in warehouse in the first place, and then wearing of "Non-Uniform" comes up in your 3/6/12 mth review. Manager can take as many leave days or sick days as they want, but casuals expected to be on call 24/7. No consideration for working parents / families etc. Especially over "Blackout" period Nov - Jan. You cannot go anywhere because you MUST be available all day every day. Management will use your contract as intimidation to reiterate.
