Pros
I have been at Stratos for almost two years. During my time here I have found the work to be challenging (in a positive way) and rewarding. The company is large enough to have access to many resources, but still operates with a start up mentality which means that I have found myself working with a diverse group of people in a variety of different functions to take on a diverse set of projects. While I do have a specific job function and expected goals, I also have a fair amount of autonomy to apply what I know to work on projects of my own creation. Ultimately, this is one of the most rewarding roles I have undertaken in my two decades of professional experience.
Cons
Having worked outside of the financial advisory industry for most of my career, there are a number of aspects of how the industry operates that I was not familiar with when I first started. While the company has many knowledgeable people that I can leverage as a resource, the challenge early on was knowing the right questions to ask. If I have one area I could note for improvement it would have been to have a primer on the industry, and how the company works, both internally, and with its partners right when I started. Otherwise, I'm very content here with no other cons.
