Pros

The only pro is you do everything so you get a lot of experience.

Cons

Management is very unethical. Owner does not care. You will be asked to do less than ethical things. It's so bad the judges know what to expect from this firm. Don't hurt your career and reputation to work here.

Pros

I have worked for the Bryan Stratton for five years and have never regretted a single moment since I began working here. The owner is one of the nicest and down to earth individuals I have had the pleasure of working for. The pay is good, the benefits are good, and the work life balance is good as well. Management is always understanding should you request leave. There are no minimum billable requirements. However, everyone is expected to act professionally and not abuse this. Overall, I am happy with my decision to work for this firm and and equally happy to continue working here.

Cons

The primary area of law which the firm practices and that the firm currently does not have a legal secretary is not ideal. However, this is vastly outweighed by the overwhelmingly positive work environment. It is honestly the best place I have ever worked.

Pros

Working for Stratton Law while studying for the bar allowed me to observe and participate in the work environment before deciding to apply for a full time position after passing. Since coming on as a full-time attorney, I have received the same support, flexibility and encouragement from my direct supervisor and the owner of the firm that they have shown my now colleagues. Stratton Law has a unique understanding of the work-life balance that is hard to come by in the legal field. They are committed to working at work and make themselves available for all questions, work product review, and collaboration, while also respecting evenings and weekends. Each attorney controls their own hearing/trials schedule, and the office atmosphere provides a relaxed, encouraging break from client demands. Great compensation, healthcare, benefits, vacation and holidays put this firm ahead of its competitors.

Cons

By the nature of the industry and this particular area of practice, this job does require traveling around the state for certain clients and being in the office/courtroom on a daily basis, which makes remote work challenging.
