Pros

They have good programs like appreciation days or holidays where we all get buffets. They have good insurance for their employees, the pay is not bad. Once the nurses get to know you after a couple months they eventually stop hazing you, some areas are better than others.

Cons

Get less than a quarter raises every year, which is really sad. Nurses are always challenging, I'm not saying there aren't any good ones but for people who have a career in helping others I have never been treated so bad or bullied so much. They treat you as though you are nothing because you clean there. Although I feel they should feel fortunate enough to have someone clean everything for them where other hospitals aren't that lucky in which the nurses have to clean up. But the more you give them the more they want. They are definitely the priority for the hospital, so if you are a nurse this is the perfect place for you to work.

Summerlin Hospital Response

Summerlin has a very approachable leadership team and the Human Resources team is very visible. We are concerned about this comment as this is the first time we are being made aware of such an allegation. We are here to be employee advocates, and will make ourselves available to meet with you and take appropriate steps necessary to resolve this situation.
