Pros

Most up to date software and technology. Some cool coworkers. Nice, new office facilities. Not the same routine everyday. Nice birthday celebrations. Located by some good restaurants.

Cons

Let's put it all out there. This company likes to think it has the best work culture out there, when in reality it needs a complete gutting and renovation. At the start they will make you feel as though it's a great place to work, but you'll find out a few things. You will get paid very little. You will feel undervalued. You will be overworked. Very high employee turnover here for obvious reasons. Very little opportunity for growth. You will get slammed with work, and then get bombarded with some more work from other people who don't realize what your workload is like. Forget having a work life balance. There is no such thing unless you're an executive or a manager. Whenever you have even the slightest obligation outside of work your superiors will act as though it's a huge inconvenience to them to let you leave your post, even an hour early. Expect a whole lot of pointless meetings that will only take up time when you could be working. Most of these meetings are intended to improve efficiency and team continuity, as well as bring the team closer, but all they really are is inconvenient and always end up having an adverse effect on what's trying to be accomplished. Benefits are awful, pay is LOW. Really low. Not really the place that gives "raises". They hire people with little experience so they can justify paying them like dirt. Paychecks come once a month, so if you can live on a tiny paycheck once a month (pretty hard to do in a place like Denver), go ahead and work for them. You only get a week vacation after you've worked there for a year, and that won't go up. Good luck even trying to take any vacation days anyway. As mentioned, superiors will act as though those vacation days, which you have a right to take, are a huge inconvenience to them. They say you get reimbursed for a gym membership, but I never saw any reimbursement ever. You will never get to meet the executives, so don't get your hopes up. They're your typical stuffy execs who are too good for anyone below them, so don't ever plan on meeting them, even though they've essentially done nothing except had a company handed to them by their daddies. Trust me when I say that there are SERIOUSLY better places out there to work for, with work cultures that are actually fun and relaxed, where everyone makes you feel welcome. The managers here will act like it's the greatest place ever since they're the ones who do what they want and get sent all over the country. Be aware, even if they're gone, they WILL contact you, so don't think you can relax. Ever. In reality it's a pretty horrible place to try and build a career because of the way it's organized. One of the worst places I've ever been employed at culture-wise.

Pros

some of the other employees were great to work with, unfortunately not all management is included diverse plenty of work to stay busy separate entities still under Summit that allow for better work conditions and separate management they like to host a lot of outings and buy you lunch

Cons

Summit level management directly lied to employees about truths within the company, this created an extremely volatile and unstable work environment They lied about selling companies without answering any questions from concerned employees about their futures until they had no other choice but to finally say it, forcing employees to pick up all of the work left from the companies, doubling and tripling the work amount without paying employees for this work(including closing accounts and vendors for those companies and handling contract obligations for these companies) - not at all a work duty that should be given to the positions that were doing it Their HR works for them - if you have an issue or a complaint, even a valid one with PROOF, they can still and will have you fired to hide it. I personally know several individuals who were retaliated against for whistleblowing about improper policies or retaliation made against them. There is nearly zero follow through on their end which created an extremely difficult relationship with employees. (even heads or GMs of separate companies were not told company information) I (also the only disabled veteran on staff at this time) was fired from my position - the position I solely held for 3 years and was the only person removed at that time for 'downsizing' after I expressed clear concerns about the way things were being handled and after I worked to close the other stores - without being compensated as promised for it. I met with our company HR and assistant controller (at this time was who I worked with in office to report to) in which I was also promised a bonus during my last week since I was not receiving severance. This was proven to be not true - I barely received a difference on my final check, including over 40 hours of PTO that was included and also including a large amount of overtime I completed during my last couple of weeks when I was completing as much as possible to help them catch up as well. I was not compensated fairly for this either. I was promised and told I would receive a raise, that did not occur. But was told my work duties were allowed to change and I was given all of Ford as a company to handle on top of my other duties. (which I did successfully) A company wellbeing benefit I submitted was also not paid and reimbursed to me. (Approx 400 reimbursement I turned in for processing the payment and confirmed it was received) Poor work life balance, was expected to cover additional duties without pay, was also nearly refused the ability to address this, regardless of many attempts, in writing and person If you do not fit their agenda, they will remove you. If you question if something is lawful, based on CO state law or federal, you are reminded that "CO is an at will state, so in the end, it doesn't matter" Corrupt individuals making decisions, lack of accountability or transparency to employees
