Pros

Great stepping stone if you are tech savy since they use Focus system which is blue screen outdated system for inputting sales transaction. Also a lot of other software needed to go to for reading reports which in the beginning can be confusing since training can be brief and too overwhelming since they crunch it all in one week or 3 days depending on training availability. Company creates expectation that even they cannot meet. If you pass the above, and you have built a great team, then staying for a year or so won’t be a problem and earning retail managing experience will be easy. Commission is great if you have a great performing store. Although it will get tax so be mindful of that. Easy to get in and move around stores as long as you show results and great relationship with people in the company.

Cons

The pay can be low for the task they require of you if you compare with other similar tier of retail especially if you get the big store but they will convince you that bonus is attractive if you meet their KPI heavy sales. If you get small store the pay is same but you will get bored in certain days as the day can be slow since not many customers come in. High theft. Lots of attempt to steal.

Pros

you get to make connections with some fun customers and you get a free pair of glasses once a year.

Cons

literally everything else is a con. management is very discriminatory and favors people who are closer in race/ethnicity. they do NOT take criticism well but will micromanage every single thing you do or don’t do. the stores are unkept and literally dirty in every way imaginable. you will never be offered a raise. you will never be offered to move up. if you’re part time, you can expect 4 hours a week and that’s it. if you ask for more hours you likely won’t get it but they will call you last minute (often hours before a shift) as soon as they need someone for coverage. commission is like maybe 1%. goals are sometimes unreasonable and do not adjust according to weather, events, traffic, etc. management constantly watches surveillance cameras throughout the day just to nitpick employees in real time.
