Pros

Hospice patients, coworkers, potential to have flexible hours

Cons

Ridiculously high turnover rate, no benefits to speak of, no mileage reimbursement & mileage is no longer deductible on tax returns, patients are located at great distances requiring toll roads, few local referrals, owner is manipulative & constantly altering her demands/expectations, work calls and texts require response 24/7 and interfere regularly with home life, owner will stop direct deposit with out notifying employee, requiring pick up of paper check in office, postponing pay, refuses to mail final pay which is in violation of Texas Labor Law. Texas Workforce Commission Labor Claim can be filed on line very easily and documents a pattern for this employer!

Cons

High turn over. Owner made her own rules as the things came about. Withheld pay for late documentation.

Pros

If you love hospice care, working with the dying is full-filling. You get off before 5p many days! No other pros, seriously!

Cons

Micro management, very little PTO, hardly any benefits, pay is withheld if you are missing a piece of paper and they do not tell you when you are missing a paper!!! They do not pay mileage or tolls. Single owner, she is elderly; when she dies, you will not have a job!
