Cons
Where to Start? First the pay for teachers and ops staff is below what other studios pay. They have not offered raises or even cost of living increases in years. In this job hey demand a lot but give little in return. They do not offer any benefits. Upper management has no clue what happens in the studio and when they do come in they largely ignore staff and hardly talk to anyone. Several of the studios are in need of cleaning and repair and in many instances the carpets are disgusting. Teachers get paid for their class and 30 minutes before but are expected to stay after and be available for students. The 30 minutes before is to greet students, welcome them and answer any questions. A practice the owner preaches but does not follow. You would think the owner would set the example but he does just the opposite. He came to teach a class and sat on the couch, ignored everyone including staff and left immediately after never saying a word to students. His reviews reflected that as well. There is little to no communication. They fire people and change processes on a whim. Seems like there is little direction right now. Certain studios have a bad vibe when you walk in the door, lots of tension and in Frisco there is this Coach that is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. In speaking with staff I can sense that dislike her but that she is upper managements favorite so they allow her to get away with murder. Her behavior from what I have witnessed would not be tolerated in any other work environment. They will also try and talk you into being a coach but the compensation plan is difficult to understand. They lie to you and entice you with saying there are tons of options to work but with the wages they pay and working full time(teaching and working the studio) its hard to earn a living. They also have a non compete that wont allow you to work at any other fitness facility. People do it anyway. They also find excuses to get rid of people, lfor example, if you post the wrong thing on social media yet other people can do it and there are no consequences. You would think the Executive Director would promote the company she works for but instead promotes some place up in Illinois. There are no set polices for social media either. Think long and hard about working here, there are far better fitness companies out there. I would never recommend working for this company.
