Pros

Superside offers a great opportunity for designers to work with some of the most well-known brands, while in this case it’s not given all the time, you’re given a space where you can hone the skills that you want, shaping to become a well-rounded designer. You also get to work with the nicest people around the world too! (If it’s not with the managerial side and if you’re lucky enough to partner someone who has the same vibe as you)

Cons

Constant management shifts, rapid changes, slowly removing benefits, and EXTREMELY long working hours had become the norm at Superside. I’ve been working for 12-14 hours, constantly at Superside for the last 2 years, this also includes unneccessary administrative tasks that take up more time other than designing, which can heavily exhaust creatives. Superside once used to be a very ‘human’ company where employee wellbeing is deeply cared upon, however this has slowly becoming more into a ‘corporate’ culture where concerns are not being addressed, being too focused on profits instead of people, this has also caused by a lack of transparency from the company, resulting in a lot of issues that are not communicated. Offboarding experience at Superside is also handled very unprofessionally, there was little to no time to hand over projects properly, which can result in panic from Project Managers and fellow Creatives. At the end, Superside’s positioning itself - Cheaper, Faster, and Better, has caused massive burnouts from a lot of creatives - from constant time crunches, unrealistic deadline expectations, and the need to constantly move fast in order to achieve the company’s goals. A recipe for massive burnout.

Pros

Pros? I can even think of any. Terrible onboarding (piling videos to watch and assume it’s absorbed is the “process”). Team members are kind, and work so hard (especially under crazy conditions).

Cons

massive layoffs and reorganization that were executed so poorly, but yet we need to make sure we reduce churn? every client is telling us what is challenging them with our agency, and it gets buried. rollouts of new extreme processes (that are so wildly out of touch around what is currently occurring). Company wide meetings commending people for working long hours? It feels like a 15 hour work day and weekends is a norm. Terrible environment, awful executive leadership (seriously, how are they qualified to lead??), and little support.
