I went through an advanced onboarding process for a freelance role with Swan.
A “welcome onboard” communication confirmed key elements such as role, scope, and start date. Based on this, I entered onboarding and submitted personal documents, including sensitive information, and was integrated into internal tools.
At a later stage, essential administrative requirements for an international profile (including the need for a specific contractual setup) were clarified, which ultimately led to the cancellation of the collaboration shortly before the planned start date.
During exchanges, it was mentioned that requirements for international profiles could be clarified earlier.
From my perspective, validating administrative feasibility at the beginning of the process would improve transparency and avoid late-stage disruptions, particularly for candidates based outside France.
