Cons
I was hired as a “Lancer” which is what they call their freelancers there last year. I got set up with direct deposit, team email, team slack, and filled out all the necessary paperwork. My contract was for about 3-5 hours of work a week. After initial intros with the team, I kept being told that they would get me going on projects soon. However, after following up several times for weeks, and then months, I eventually stopped hearing from them altogether. We never had a conversation of ending the contract, they just faded away without me doing any work for them.
I don’t know if this their standard way of operating, but it was really weird and unprofessional behavior.
