Pros

Fellow teammates were great and very supportive. The podcasting space and clients were cool.

Cons

- Stressful to implement new ideas or directions from the Leadership Team what seemed like every week. - The Leadership Team made decisions that didn't seem ethical. Female team members don't last long there. - It felt like company values were constantly talked about but undermined by the actions of leadership. - Constant changes pushed down to the team made for a very unstable work environment. - No clear expectations and never had a job description. Goalposts shifted regularly. - Felt like staffing decisions were at the whim of the CEO and not based on merit.

environment became toxic, if you don't make in to the all white all male inner circle you can forget about real raises/recognition

Pros

Working remote and flexible schedule.

Cons

Seems like the company is the most amazing company in the world and they are until you want to grow. Worked there for over a year constantly asking for reviews, how to improve, and get promotions-- I was always told nothing more and I was doing a great job. I had started noticing that there was a 'favorites' club when female leaders were demoted with the explanation of not enough experience-- then I later found out when she was promoted she said she was nervous because of the experience aspect, to which they responded, you will grow with the company, seems a bit like gaslighting to me. Then of a sudden, the entire leadership team was all men and had no diversity. When I started questioning male leadership I started getting in trouble. As someone with a spotless record, I all of a sudden was getting reprimanded for 'communication' but not even by my direct manager. Before I had quit my direct manager hadn't spoken to me for 2 months. In the end, I struggled with the leadership practices, inconsistencies in policy, and unfair hiring/promotion practices which lead me to part with the company. The bottom line is, if you want to work for a company that doesn't appreciate you and you don't ever want to get a promotion, Sweet Fish is the company for you.
