Pros

Free sodas and snacks. This is a company driven solely by a strong, thriving, sales team that is highly focused on winning over Podium and Weave customers. If you are a competitive person who thrives on "winning" as an individual this is the place for you. They have the means to pay well. The support team is great, helpful, and friendly.

Cons

The product! Until recently, the design and engineering of the product have been outsourced dev to agencies for the life of the product. It is riddled with hasty, half-baked, features usually hacked together in order to close a sale. It is difficult to use, is constantly breaking, and down often. The product vision and focus are driven by the executives and are micro-managed. The same competitive culture that drives the sales team is how the whole company is run. It is a company that defines success by how much money they are making not on solving a specific problem for their users. Unfortunately, that success comes at a cost to the users who get automatically locked into year-long contracts after a 30 day trial period expires. Sadly, they hold their users to those contracts too, even if the product failure is their fault.

Pros

The engineering culture at Swell is exciting. We are given the freedom to work without micromanagement. We get to work on challenging problems and implement solutions as we see fit. Everybody on the team has ownership in the outcome of the product.

Cons

The startup environment isn't for everybody.

Pros

Loved the people I worked with. Has pretty good benefits. Managers were good about not micromanaging or hovering over your shoulders as long as you completed your work.

Cons

Common cons that come with the startup realm. Things could change pretty quickly with little to no notice. Workload can buildup but managers are good about hearing concerns and helping delegate your work if needed.
