Pros

Keeping physically fit due to manual handling.

Cons

Regular wage errors that can sometimes take months to resolve, very “clicky”, plenty of management stooges who are easy to spot, they report back everything they hear, almost minimum wage, unauthorised hours added onto your shift without your knowledge or consent. Canteen facilities are a health hazard, vermin and broken windows, doors hanging off, unapproachable managers, targeting and bullying using big jobs that they’ll put you on in a constant loop so that you’re tired (sometimes without breaks). Reluctance to allow time off, constant empty promises of improvements to the workplace and atmosphere, staff walking out in large numbers week after week, theft from lockers and bags, and other more serious issues that would take me too long to list.

Pros

There is a sense of family culture at the airside level, and that was one of the few genuinely positive parts of the experience.

Cons

Unfortunately, the overall environment was overshadowed by micromanagement and a culture where communication often felt dishonest. There were situations where it seemed like management claimed conversations or warnings had happened when they had not, only to move quickly to write employees up. The lack of consistency and trust made the workplace frustrating and difficult to navigate. There also seemed to be high turnover, along with very little clear direction or path for growth. On top of that, some business practices came across as focused on avoiding providing proper benefits, which left a negative impression.
