Pros
From day one, I received a warm and genuine welcome from both my immediate team and colleagues across the wider business. My line manager is incredibly supportive, organised, and trusting, providing autonomy while being available when needed. Senior and executive leaders are approachable and open to new ideas and innovation. There’s a strong culture of kindness and teamwork where people truly want to help each other succeed. The company values — Show You Care, Do the Right Thing, and We Win as a Team — are not just words, but reflected in daily behaviours. Career growth is encouraged through exposure to diverse projects, cross-functional collaboration, and learning opportunities. There’s genuine passion for the aviation industry, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. There are many inspiring success stories of people who started in frontline roles and progressed into leadership positions. The CEO is forward-thinking and committed to driving innovation across the organisation. Safety and employee wellbeing are clearly prioritised at every level of the business.
Cons
The nature of the industry means budgets are tight, which can limit the speed of change. Manual and fragmented onboarding processes still exist and would benefit from greater standardisation and automation of admin, which is something I was hired to look at. The size and structure of the business can lead to siloed ways of working, making cross-regional collaboration more difficult but not impossible.
