Pros
Everyone is passionate about they do. It's the kind of place where directors and executives at the C-level will stop by to introduce themselves and say hi to you when you bump into them in the hallways. You can tell that everyone genuinely believes that the work they do is meaningful. I am given a lot of autonomy over my work and assigned projects to look after. Even as an entry-level employee, I've always felt supported and given "real work" right from the start. The entire management team is extremely open to feedback. My manager does not micromanage and trusts me to complete my own tasks. When I have questions, I am not afraid to reach out. When I have an idea for process improvements, I feel comfortable voicing my thoughts. It's really inspiring to hear the President of the company talk about his goals and vision of where he sees the company going. The company doesn't withhold information from its employees and lets us know future plans in store. Also, the technology is just amazing. During orientation, I could see the clear differences in what Synaptive had to offer compared to its competitors. At the end of the day, it's really satisfying to know that you're contributing towards a product that will ultimately change someone's life. Cons
The downside is that since the company is fairly new, it is still in the process of setting up standard procedures. Would not recommend to anyone who is used to and would prefer a more structured environment. It can sometimes be a refreshing challenge to implement protocols.
