Pros
Good people, as long as you talk to those who are ex-GE, or you are an ex-GE person looking for a company that is still following that culture.
Cons
HR runs the company in IT...the CIO is never seen without an HR rep by her side advising her on every decision. The CIO is an ex Project Manager from Accenture with no hands-on experience, and she is a bully as well. The CTO thinks he is Bill Gates and I think bleeds Microsoft and GE blue. They discriminate as well given if you come from GE, they will promote you fast, and they only listen to their "GE buddies"...if you come from the outside, expect to go nowhere and stay in stagnant roles for years.
