Pros

Pros: • Good work-life balance – Flexible timings and manageable workload allow a healthy personal-professional life. • Encouraging shift toward in-house development – The company has started hiring internal Oracle APEX front-end developers to reduce dependency on external vendors like HCL and Cognizant. • Opportunity to take ownership – You can fill the gap between designers and developers by proposing UI/UX improvements, building POCs, and guiding implementation. • Supportive management – While not deeply technical, the managers are approachable, open to suggestions, and give developers autonomy in decision-making.

Cons

Cons: • Limited technical maturity – As a pharma-focused company, technology is not the core strength. Most stakeholders come from medical backgrounds, making it difficult to align them with modern development workflows. • Communication gaps with non-technical stakeholders – Often challenging to explain technical constraints or solutions to teams that lack software development understanding. • Reliance on external vendors still exists – Some development is still outsourced, which can make project coordination and delivery timelines more complex. • Slow to adopt cutting-edge tools – The tech stack isn’t always up-to-date, and innovation may feel restricted at times.

Pros

You are never bored due to constant work

Cons

Lab is run horribly. Sample Management never sees promotions. Starting salary is good and then you’re trapped in quicksand. I was graded as the highest possible rating for my merit increase and got a $0.26 hourly increase. The company doesn’t care about everyone working on the back end of studies.
