Pros

Synergy treats you like gold when you work for them. I experienced this as a temp and an employee. They pay really well and checks are issued weekly, which I find to be a huge help. The owner is very involved and friendly and goes out of his way to get to know you. They make the work environment as fun as they can ~ we listen to music, we have popcorn and cookie days, we get free Starbucks coffee, lattes, and hot chocolate. They spend a fortune providing these little perks for us and I appreciate it so much. The role I have is posting insurance payments and submitting claims to insurance. There’s a lot to do but the rewards are worth it.

Cons

Training was a little tough. It’s very informal and you learn side by side with someone. We just got a brand new trainer and I think she will do great formalizing it a bit more and hopefully more time in the training class.

Pros

You have an opportunity to gain experience doing a variety of tasks.

Cons

Hostile work environment. Leadership is insincere. Employee morale is extremely low. Atmosphere is competitive in a non constructive way. You will not be valued here in any way. You will be treated like a dog and expected to be grateful for the opportunity to be treated as such. Unmanageable workload with no recognition of value. You will be micromanaged in every way imaginable. No legitimate or sincere appreciate or even recognition for your dedication and intelligence. People will attempt to minimize your efforts and contributions in order to receive credit for them. Environment changes with each new consultant. By the time you develop something it is outdated as leadership changes the direction of the company frequently. The CEO puts his pride and pettiness in front of the betterment of the company. Constantly putting employees in tough situations workload wise and ethically. Contributes to hostile work environment by firing in masses and sending out hilariously insincere emails when people start fearing for their job security. CEO is easily influenced by the newest of the revolving door of consultants and does not value a formal educational background or experience. The insecure leadership causes the company to be reactive. No concern for your personal commitments or well being. The procrastination of leadership will become your emergency and you’ll be forced to work unnecessary overtime frequently.
