Cons

My time at Synergy XYZ was deeply disappointing. I was initially hired as an Influencer Marketing Specialist, but my job title was later altered to Partnership Specialist without proper discussion or clarity. Alongside this change came a significant increase in workload, with no corresponding salary adjustment or added benefits. The working culture was extremely discouraging. Gossip and favouritism were prevalent across teams, creating an environment where merit and hard work were often overlooked. The HR department consistently failed to demonstrate responsibility or accountability. Tasks were frequently delegated without proper oversight, and there was a general reluctance to own outcomes. Leadership, particularly at the executive level, lacked direction. The CEO perpetuated a toxic culture and was often the source of favouritism and resistance to innovation. Despite ongoing poor performance in live hosting and campaigns, the company continued to repeat the same ineffective strategies, showing an unwillingness to learn or adapt. Clients were often difficult to manage due to unclear communication and a lack of structure internally. Workflow processes were chaotic, and there was a consistent lack of alignment between departments. On the surface, the company may appear competent, but internally, it struggles with basic coordination and transparency. Even the office environment lacked vitality. Basic amenities such as a coffee machine were absent, and the overall workspace felt neglected and uninspiring. 0/10 would not recommend. It may suit those who are comfortable working in an unstructured, highly political environment, but for professionals looking for clarity, fairness, and genuine leadership, this is not the place.

Pros

only good colleagues and team members

Cons

- late salary since Feb'26 and many still pending their payment but management is being selective to pay...only pay those that "obey" and those exited has to chase and ask but no response from HR or the management - EPF, SOCSO was not credited for over 6 months and Income tax was a full year of 2025 not paid but they deduct from employee salary...so where does the money goes? stop giving excuse of using 3rd party!! If you really assigned to outsource, you guys don't even tracked if the money credited or not? - high turnover rate due to HR hiring without transparency, always hook people in and once on board they will include task that is not mention during interview or part of your job scope - HR blaming game is high and no one can be trust as they side the company and boss...they are trained to do dirty job (Irene & Pui Ying) - management always sugarcoat and never make changes as they only do things according their way...if you can't fit in or offended them, they will release you with immediate notice

Pros

Nothing much to say for pros

Cons

- Significant huge gap between expectations set during the interview and actual working job scope. - High employee turnover within a short period (1-2 months) leading to unstable team and company structure - Very frequent redistribution of responsibilities due to manpower shortages, resulting in workload beyond initial job scope and the workload is very heavy - Concerns regarding timely salary payments and clarity of EPF/KWSP contributions. Heard from other employees that EPF/KWSP isn’t processed since later year November until now. - Limited action taken when employees raise concerns, leading employee to have low productivity and eventually the job still needs to be done. - Unsupportive working culture with communication challenges across different departments. (A lot of blaming games) - Company’s cash flow is affecting all the tasks on hand, which results in projects late delivery.
