My time at Synergy XYZ was deeply disappointing. I was initially hired as an Influencer Marketing Specialist, but my job title was later altered to Partnership Specialist without proper discussion or clarity. Alongside this change came a significant increase in workload, with no corresponding salary adjustment or added benefits. The working culture was extremely discouraging. Gossip and favouritism were prevalent across teams, creating an environment where merit and hard work were often overlooked. The HR department consistently failed to demonstrate responsibility or accountability. Tasks were frequently delegated without proper oversight, and there was a general reluctance to own outcomes. Leadership, particularly at the executive level, lacked direction. The CEO perpetuated a toxic culture and was often the source of favouritism and resistance to innovation. Despite ongoing poor performance in live hosting and campaigns, the company continued to repeat the same ineffective strategies, showing an unwillingness to learn or adapt. Clients were often difficult to manage due to unclear communication and a lack of structure internally. Workflow processes were chaotic, and there was a consistent lack of alignment between departments. On the surface, the company may appear competent, but internally, it struggles with basic coordination and transparency. Even the office environment lacked vitality. Basic amenities such as a coffee machine were absent, and the overall workspace felt neglected and uninspiring. 0/10 would not recommend. It may suit those who are comfortable working in an unstructured, highly political environment, but for professionals looking for clarity, fairness, and genuine leadership, this is not the place.

You get to learn what's hell

Cons

Poor management leadership. Hiring mismatch, colleagues are nice but they are not competent for the roles. Directors and managers has no idea how to run the company. Always threatening environment. Poor time allocation and instructions. Doesn't pay for claims, EPF and SOCSO!

We value all input and take all true comments seriously as we strive to improve our Company. However, for untruth or distorted information, we would like to make the following statements. 1. Statutory Contribution The Company is committed to complying with all statutory contribution obligations. The Company will assist the staff to investigate once the staff raises any concerns. We do pay all staff claims, EPF, SOCSO, and PCB. I am a member of the HR team in this company. If the company had not made the contributions mentioned above, I would be the first to resign from this company. Furthermore, our company has grown to more than one hundred employees, and this number continues to grow due to expansion. This does not align with your statement. 2. Work Environment The Company's working environment is safe and supportive. The Company has provided a comfortable working environment and facilities. Majority of the employees feel happy to work here because every peer is supportive to each other. Regarding the working culture, the Company is performance-driven and has zero tolerance for a negative, gossip, and politicized working environment. 3. Hiring Mismatch The staff’s performance is evaluated from time to time. For those staff who show passion for learning and growing with the Company and face challenges with a positive mindset, they will be trained and upgraded periodically. Based on our records, the majority of the staff we recruit are happy to work here due to the career growth opportunities provided. For example, I have grown from an executive level to a manager level, which is happening to other departments. 4. Director’s Resignation We have not had any Directors resign, and we are unsure about your definition of "Director". Please note that disseminating any false or distorted information can be construed as defamation or blackmail. We believe that mature and rational job seekers will use their discernment and intelligence to understand the situation and will seek clarification from the company.

1. The working environment is fill with favouritism, toxicity and snakes. 2. Hr should really focus on their job instead of interfering with other department job and they are not specialize in that area 3. The blaming game here is very high 4. management love to gaslight client and promise certain KPI that is unachievable then the certain department need to answer to client when KPI not achieved. 5. Any problem you give to management is a sign that you are not competence in your job.

We value all input and take all genuine comments seriously as we strive to improve our Company. However, for untruth or distorted information, we would like to make the following statements. 1. The work assignments are determined by skillset, seniority, and measurable contribution, not personal preference. Similarly, salary increments are directly tied to an employee’s performance and impact. We understand that in any environment, interpersonal conflicts and individual perceptions of favor or dislike may occur; however, if these issues are external to performance, contribution, or company policy, they fall outside of the company’s direct control. If any employee feels the environment is unhappy, we strongly encourage them to formally escalate the issue to HR for prompt and confidential review. 2. Our HR team operates on the Business Partner (HRBP) model. This means they are required to have a deep, strategic understanding of departmental operations, business functions, and team workflows. This cross-functional knowledge is essential for talent management, resource planning, etc. 3. We do not allow a blaming culture. Management is committed to providing hands-on support and direction when staff face project challenges. However, accountability is essential in a company. When any issue arises, we are required to question, review, and analyze the root causes. This process is a learning opportunity, aimed at improving processes and preventing recurrence, which is a normal situation for every performing company. We acknowledge that different individuals have different thinking, and some may interpret necessary questioning as "blame" 4. The KPI setting is based on thorough market, past performance or any data benchmarks. Majority of our client KPIs are consistently achieved; 80% of our clients have maintained relationships with us for more than five years, with some clients having been with us since the company's beginning. We acknowledge that market factors or unforeseen variables can sometimes impact a specific project, but we work transparently with clients when strategic adjustments are necessary. 5. We highly value proactive problem identification. Management actively encourages staff to make mistakes and learn from them, as long as the same mistakes are not repeated. Management views raising challenges not as a sign of incompetence, but as an opportunity for the team member to propose and own the solution that drives long-term process improvement. We encourage all employees to bring forward issues with a solution-oriented mindset. Our existing long-term staff are very familiar with this approach and culture.
