Pros

Defined benefit plan, ok medical/dental coverages, profitable company, recognized brand

Cons

-Many senior executives don't have vision for the company and they tend to promote their friends and hire their relatives. -Promotions are not based on qualifications and performances. If you are not friends with someone in the hiring seat, you are unlikely to get a role regardless of how good your qualifications and performance history are. -Massive layoffs 2 years ago and now smaller scale of staff cut is underway quietly. Meanwhile quarterly profits are record-breaking high. -A lot of politics going on, expected from most large corporations. -Lack of transparency and communication. Employees find out news about the company from the newspapers first. -Some colleagues are good and others may be rude. It depends on your luck and where you work. -It is very difficult to move around different departments to get learning opportunities and career advancement.
