Pros
Vigil is an amazing place to exercise artistic freedom and experimentation. While sticking to a well established style, you really feel like you've taken charge of your own work and you can easily make it your own. The people are so friendly and Vigil boasts some of the best talent the industry has to offer. The management also knows how to take care of its employees on a day to day basis. I personally was very lucky to get to work for Vigil as my first job in the industry.
Cons
Vigil is still a relatively new studio, with only one title in its portfolio, and although Darksiders is an amazing game, Vigil suffers from a lack of financial stability with THQ as its parent company. During much of my time at Vigil, I was concerned about whether or not I would be able to keep my position, and in the end THQ let me go. However, I hold no animosity towards Vigil, and I hope to be able to work with them again in the future.
