Pros

To be very honest... Nothing!

Cons

Stay away from this place. "Upper Management" is a bunch of people who couldn't make it anywhere else on a power trip... Their attitude is extremely toxic. There is a reason it's mostly people with no Canadian experience working at TRU... Just google the CEO's name in Google News and you will find what you need to find about how they practice their business :D

Pros

DO NOT WORK HERE - all the postive comments were an incentive upper management came to a small handful of people and asked us to write good reviews.

Cons

I would strongly advise anyone considering a role at TRU to do their homework before accepting an offer. The biggest issue is the culture. Leadership often operates from a top-down, fear-based management style that creates an environment of stress rather than support. Employees are expected to perform at a high level, but there is little investment in mentorship, training, or professional development. Constructive feedback is rare, while criticism is common. There is a significant disconnect between leadership and the day-to-day reality of employees. Decisions frequently feel reactive, priorities change constantly, and expectations are often unclear. Many employees are left trying to navigate shifting goals without the resources needed to succeed. Career growth doesnt exist. Contributions are often overlooked, and recognition tends to be inconsistent. Employee turnover is high, which should tell prospective candidates something about the overall experience. Morale was low, communication was poor, and the workplace often felt more political than collaborative. Do a deep dive into the executive levels at this company (none of them have actual experience)
