Pros
Small company, some mobility within company and you can get a lot of experience and build a portfolio fast. Some fun entertainment clients. Good perks -- holiday celebrations, summer Fridays, team outings, snacks, etc. Dog-friendly office, relaxed atmosphere, family feeling. Great 401K matching, OK health insurance. Approachable upper management
Cons
Poor communication among leadership. Stingy with raises Some departments have leaders that care and will advocate for their team, others do not. High turnover with producers -- the good ones get extra work dumped on them, and the bad ones (having had their work given to the good ones) enjoy 2-hour lunches. So the good ones leave and the bad ones stay. Tendency to cowtow to clients rather than guiding them. VERY stingy with hiring enough people, so some people end up doing the work of 3 people, and some projects don't even have a creative director. The most talented people are spread way too thin. Tendency to hire people without fully vetting them, then making everyone else pay for their mistakes (lost clients = less $ = no raises)
