Pros

Pays above average, depending on the market you reside in. Direct managers are nice, due to proximity to the actual work being conducted.

Cons

Anyone above Sr Managers are very out of touch. IT Support team is treated like 3rd class citizens. Lots of micromanaging from upper management. Complete lack of culture, due to many being fully remote. Very little upward mobility. Lack of diversity.

Pros

Good benefits and decent pay

Cons

Advancing via merit system does not exist, low metric superintendents are awarded CSC to train. Management preaches accountability but does not practice it while, passing all the bad decisions down to their team members to take accountability for their actions and decisions. There is no team mentality in Charlotte anymore. The culture has been turned in to a game of cutthroat in which every teammate is trying to make another look bad in order to hide their mistakes. It was a great place to be when I started but it has turned sour in the worst way causing the division to lose all if their top talent at the CSM, CM, and CWM positions. Everyone feels this way and are too afraid to say it due to fear of being targeted
