Pros
I'm an Overseas Trained Teacher from Australia and I joined Teacher Active when I first moved to Manchester. It took a few weeks to get reference checks, DBS, etc sorted before I could begin work (the earlier you can start this the better!) But Teacher Active were great and kept in regular contact with me so that I could start working as soon as possible. Once I was eligible, I had consistent supply work through Teacher Active for 3-4 months. After that they were able to secure me a long term supply role in a Salford school. I worked at that school for 7 months, which was a great opportunity for me to gain experience working in a school in the UK. They have good pay rates and are good at trying to get you work as close to home as possible.
Cons
Nothing bad to say. My experience with Teacher Active has been a good one. The staff are very helpful and friendly and overall I have found them to be a reliable company to work for.
