Tech Semiconductor Pte

Is this your company?

Initial years are good if you choose to work like crazy (stay late till 9PM).. but things are bad after year 4th. - Anonymous employee Tech Semiconductor Pte Employee Review

Pros

Exposure to many technical grow (as not enough technical competent engineers). Good initial pay.

Cons

Too many mid and low management positions vs. engineers (who do "dirty-work"). In many case, the promotion is based on who pleased the boss most and who stay (or show up as) late in working office. The promotion process is widely viewed unfair among employees.

Pros

Friendly Colleagues and Supervisors. And thats about all the pros this company can give.

Cons

1. Unjustifiable promotions which caused several morale issues. 2. High Section Managers/Managers to Engineers ratio = Minimal opportunities for advancement. 3. All the managers trying to outshine their peers by introducing ideas/projects which is highly ineffective and useless/time wasting. More importantly, all the projects are done by engineers/technicians/operators and add on to their already heavy workload. 4. Stay late = Responsible and Great performance 5. Highly incompetent middle management. (Section Managers) 6. Policy to try to compensate employees at the same level (Engineers/Senior Engineer/etc)with the same pay range. ie. If you are a senior engineer working for 8 years, you probably be getting the same pay as a 2 year old senior engineer. 7. No flexibility. You have to answer for why you are late for one day in the month and no credits for staying beyond working hours with no OT claims. 8. They make taking MC or AL sound like a sin. During the review period, the number of MCs and ALs taken are consideration factors in your performance. 9. Too tired to continue....
