Pros

The staff who are lower on the ladder are extremely dedicated to the mission, and put up with a lot of indignities to be here.

Cons

Where to start? The leadership which has mostly all been in place more than 20 years runs this place like a kingdom. Decisions are handed down, even high level managers and VPs are left out of the loop and not invited to provide any input whatsoever. Staff are set up to fail with outdated systems and unrealistic goals, and blamed when they do fail. Months after a recent round of layoffs and "restructuring", no accountability for problems has been taken by leaders, and no plan has been presented to right the ship because none exists. These are wholly unserious people who's real mission is to maintain their big salaries and the prestige that comes with making giant unsubstantiate claims about TechSoup's impact.

Pros

Work life balance and some tireless colleagues

Cons

No direction whatsoever. Chasing CEO's half baked ideas to produce very little of value. Using tech that is decades old and trying to be an authority on nonprofit tech. They give "promotions", which for them means no pay increase but taking on the work of someone who quit.
