Pros

Great company to work for with a rich history. They're willing to try new markets and get creative during a down economy.

Cons

No real development or training programs for younger engineers. You basically just have to find one of the old timers that likes you and ride their coat tails to success.

Pros

They really invest in their employees and expect people to stick around. They also have a great reputation within the industry, and it pays off to have Teichert on your resume. If you have the right manager and work reasonably hard, they will do everything they can to develop you and take care of you. Benefits are also great!

Cons

Definitely an old boys' club. Despite efforts from upper management to make the company more diverse and support more women entering the field, middle managers definitely fall into old construction industry tropes. Your work experience depends largely on who your direct manager is, and many of them are stuck in their ways and resistant to change.
