Pros

The negative reviews I've been reading irritated me, so I felt I should leave my review. Most of those individuals that left bad reviews might have had good reason to leave it. I'm going to tell you why I think Telarus is THE best organization I've ever worked with. I've been with Telarus 8+ years, so I have the privilege of remembering the "Good Ol' Days" before we became a large organization. I've been through all the changes, good and bad, and can honestly say, hands down, it's one of the best companies I've ever had the privilege of working with. Telarus has gone through TONS of growth in the last several years. Some people can roll with changes in roles/responsibilities, some people can't. I've been fortunate enough to roll with the changes. I'll admit there have been times I've thought about leaving when changes came (going from a 30+ company to nearly 200+ in a few years can have that effect). Something I applaud the leadership of Telarus with is that they have always tried their best to make this a great company. Sometimes they experimented with new directions and found ways that didn't work. However, they always course corrected when things didn't work. Telarus is full of real people, so it's not always unicorns, fluffy clouds and rainbows. Yes, people disagree from time to time. Sometimes you have personality clashes within teams or departments. But I genuinely believe that anyone here wants to work as a team, succeed as a team, and wishes the best for their team members. Telarus has been very gracious in it's health insurance plans, vacation time, and recently it's work-from-home policies. Telarus wants to be the best company it can, and that comes from creating the best employees. Remember those commercials, "Happy cheese comes from happy cows"? In my opinion, happy employees come from Telarus. I could name specific individuals in management that have made a difference, but it's not just them that create the culture. From management to the new hires, everyone here has a hand in creating what makes Telarus special. Our PEOPLE make the difference. Pros (to name a few): People/Culture, Vacation and sickness policy, health benefits, work-from-home policy, pay, team incentives, career paths.

Cons

I wouldn't call this a con, but more advice for those that can't deal with change. Telarus is continuing to grow at a rapid pace. If you can't grow and roll with changes, this isn't the place for you.

Pros

Great opportunity for someone right out of college or looking to break into the channel industry. While the compensation is on the lower side, the exposure and vendor connections you’ll build can open doors to higher-paying roles especially with vendors down the line. The owners are very nice and caring people.

Cons

The TSD space remains heavily rooted in telecom, which shows up clearly in both the partner base and the broader culture. There are persistent concerns around favoritism in recent promotions, and the feedback regarding nepotism is well-founded. There are also gaps within parts of the senior and middle leadership teams, particularly around the level of experience and professionalism typically expected at that stage. This can lead to inconsistent decision-making and, at times, reduced confidence across teams. In addition, there’s a noticeable pattern among many employees with 5+ years of tenure who appear overly comfortable in roles that lack challenge, rather than pushing for growth or pursuing larger opportunities. Meanwhile, top performers tend to move on earlier, often drawn by stronger compensation and more compelling opportunities elsewhere..
