Pros

Flex-time (but your pay will be docked retroactively if your self submitted time sheets are 15+ minutes inaccurate going back at least 6 months)

Cons

Unfair dress code policy, lack of proper communication channels, entire upper management staff is located in Birmingham, every other office is looked down upon and treated like incompetent children, lack of proper staff vetting or dispute handling as there have been multiple sexual harassment situations that have been brushed under the carpet, additionally the management are exceptionally sexist blaming productivity issues on the female reproductive system (when the truth is, the productivity issues are due to a failing IT infrastructure and incompetent micromanaging), management will also scrutinize staff who are leaving to find anything they can to hold against you, (and they have a blatant misuse of the Bradford Scoring system - your score can only go up, never down) recounting everything you've done, unacceptable response times for DSE assessment requests (4 months and waiting), and the HR department might as well not exist.

Pros

Select few decent employees who actually know what they’re doing. Hybrid working makes it easy to attend appointments.

Cons

Hire people with no relevant qualifications/experience for all levels including project management and not providing any training. Employees are left dealing with staff who are unsuitable for the role creating a high stress environment. Valid concerns are not listened to, management does whatever they want, then come to the people who warned them about these problems to fix the mess they’ve created. Poor pay. Bare minimum legal requirements are presented as “benefits” e.g pension. Not much room for growth. Promotions not based on employee performance but to fill numbers. Barely any support for mental health, workload or day to day concerns. Little choice in what project or work you do. Can feel very mind numbing and repetitive. No recognition or incentive for good employees to stay.

Pros

My immediate team was full of some really talented people.

Cons

The c-suite clamber over each other to be potentially next in line for the top job, this results in micro driving directions within leadership that hold the company back. Company culture and processes are more aligned with a company in the 90s rather than a modern working environment. The new office is great but is the pizza party of a systematic broken work culture.
