Pros
- Catered lunch every Friday
- Good office snacks and coffee
- Casual office
Cons
- Lack of communication and structure--had difficulties with pay rate, getting paid in a timely manner, submitting PTO, etc. Would be told one thing by HR and then the opposite would happen...not a fun thing when the money you've worked for is in question. Also no onboarding, no off-boarding, no exit interview--even knew someone working who wasn't even given a contract.
- Overly concerned with being "cool" and "hype" (and the resource allocation reflects it...to the detriment of every other employee at the agency if you're not on those certain projects
- High employee turnover (people leaving because they couldn't "take it anymore"--never a good sign). Also exhibited a pattern of quick to hire, quick to fire. A high percentage of the full-time employees are actually contractors.
- No work-life balance and no overtime pay--you're pretty much expected to work overtime and be available 24/7. In high-stress situations, there's a pattern of finger-pointing and blame-shifting.
