Pros
Great stable of brands in the market and everyone always has a Coca-Cola story. The system is very reactive and the managers must make quick decisions. Unfortunately, sometimes they need to listen and take more information in before jumping to decisions. Although, this company makes decisions quickly and sticks with them until they're proven wrong. Being part of the Coca-Cola system is very exciting. The system is vast with strong brands and a great history. To be part of that is something I can always point to in my career no matter where I go from here. Could be worse.
Cons
The culture is too reactive and is not as proactive as it needs to be. You can get problems fixed quickly but it's hard to prevent them from occurring in the first place. There is also a system of finger pointing that is detrimental to the health of the organization. The Business Units point fingers at National Accounts that they are selling enough or supporting them while National Accounts point to lack of execution. The company is usually focused internally without starting with the consumer and customer in mind. They would rather take a crowbar to sell in certain packages than take the time to consider what is the right brand and package. Volume is king.
